Heh. It seems more like we're living among Canadians than the other way around...

Nice shot.

You're right lepto. And we all seem to get along so well. Go figure.

Danny, my dad would love this photo. He was a pilot in WWII and has loved planes all his life (he's now in his 70s) and had a piper cub when my sister and I were young. My sister learned to fly when she was about 10 [which didn't totally thrill our mother!] - never solo though . . . . . not me, I want both my feet on the ground.

Nice photo!

Thanks Sandie,
I can't tell you how much I respect our Veterans. Tell your father that I said thanks for his service. I'd also love to know which plane he flew. I got my pilots license in 1980 but am now grounded after a heart attack and 5 bypasses.

He's out of town for the weekend, but I'll ask him when he gets back. I'd be no help with what kind of plane . . . all I know is it had a propeller, two wings and made lots of noise. I may be able to get a photo of his plane and scan it in to show you. Thank you for your kind words about our veterans. He was a POW in Germany, and received a purple heart. He still loves telling his "war stories" and keeps my grandsons entertained with them when the whole family gets together.

I hope all our military troops, and their families, know how much we appreciate all the sacrifices they make to keep us safe.
