monopod suggestions

I am looking for some suggestions.
I am wanting to purchase a monopod but not just any monopod. Here's what I'm looking for:

-ANY hight adjustable
Quite a few years ago, I remember coming across a monopod that you adjusted in height simply by squeezing a handle or trigger. This allowed you to raise or lower the monopod height with one hand and to any height desired. When you were at the level you wanted, you released the handle and it was locked in that position. You never had to mess with the locks at the bottom of the monopod or use more than 1 hand.

-Threaded to accept different heads
I already have a tripod & tripod head that I really like. It's a ball head and I love the convenience of just squeezing the release to position the head wherever I want. So, I'd like to be able to use this head on a new monopod.

But, #1 is the most imporant; #2 I can live without if necessary

Anyone have any suggestions?

Check out some of the Bogen / Manfrotto monopods from B&H (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=NavBar&A=search&Q=&ci=397) ;)

Ditto, I use a Bogen and they are great. Trying to save up to get the Bogen tripod now. Good luck with your decision.

I use Bogen as well. However, it's not too often I find myself using my monopod though.

I've been using mine quite a bit lately in doing some bird photos. It's quicker to reposition than an entire tripod.

Bogen/Manfrotto makes the best Autopod out there. The MANFROTTO MN334B or the Bogen 3245 sell for less than $100.

I will definately check those out...hopefully I can find a good deal on one on eBay!

Anyone have any experience with the Slik monopod that also automatically adjusts? I can't remember the name though.

usually on ebay after shipping it's best to get it from a store or from bhphoto, at least that's been my experience

I'll have to check into that.
Anybody want to buy a brand new 40 gig hard drive or APC BackUPS 350 or 500? :D
