I actually think I have one somewhere... but it would cost quite a bit to ship it to you... ;) rflorence June 4th, 2005, 02:57 PM What is quite a bit? :) I have found some one ebay too but I have also been burned pretty badly buying computer hardware. Kind of gun shy. JustJerk June 4th, 2005, 04:26 PM Most laptops take 2.5" hard drives. If you have access to the hard drive, take it out and see it there is a special adapter on it. If there isn’t, just buy a HD. If there is an adapter, see if it can be removed and install on the new drive. The Compaq laptops have an adapter which I swap over to new drives. Total savings on new drive = $160. rflorence June 4th, 2005, 04:31 PM So your saying I might be able to use just an ordinary internal hard drive that is used on any other computer?? Man that would be GREAT!! I have a 40 GB hard drive that goes in a desktop that is not being used!!! JustJerk June 4th, 2005, 04:46 PM So your saying I might be able to use just an ordinary internal hard drive that is used on any other computer?? Man that would be GREAT!! I have a 40 GB hard drive that goes in a desktop that is not being used!!!Maybe that was confusing - Desktop computers uses a 3.5 form factor HD Laptop somputers uses a 2.5 form factor HD You probably won't be able to use a spare HD from a desktop to put into a laptop. If you want to upgrade the laptop, you are going to need a laptop HD. Some laptops have special adapters that make them capability with the systemboards (so they can charge more money). Most of them can be removed by tiny screws and place on another drive. rflorence June 4th, 2005, 04:49 PM OHHH ok. Dang. LOL | Sponsored Ads: |
