Hey guys, can u please help me? I have a non-hi-speed usb and i want to buy a memory card reader, but all i could find are high speed memory card readers. Excuse my ignorance but i don't know much about this. My question is: will that not work? If i plug a high speed reader in a non high speed usb hub? Will they not understand eachother? Thank you

Most are backwards compatible, but you will get a warning from Windows possibly. For about $30, you can add a USB 2.0 card. If you do much data transfer at all, it's well worth the upgrade.

In windows it just has a little message that says "you are using a hi-speed usb drive in a non hi-speed port" or somthing of the like....

i use it and theres no problem.. it takes about 3-5 mins for a full 512 card ... and for me thats not a big deal

It does work!
In addition i bought a lower end one and it seems to work just fine
