Telachick Creek, February
Telachick Creek is a picturesque little creek that runs out of Norman Lake near Prince George, BC. It is a spawning creek, and it usually freezes over in the winter. But we had an early thaw in February, and coupled with a fresh snow, made for ideal conditions for photography.

Unfortunately, I didn't have my 4x5 Linhof out that day, but I did have a medium format Mamiya C330, and a Nikon FM loaded with Fomapan 200 film.

These images were shot with the Nikon, a Nikkor 43-86mm f3.5 zoom, the Foma 200 was developed in HC110 at 1:63 for 8 minutes.

The negatives were photographed with my Pentax K10, a 35mm f2.8 Pentax Limited Macro, against a lightbox to which the negatives were inserted into a scanning film holder. I have had no time to print lately, but the results from this method are really indistinguishable on a computer screen from a scanned print. I'll be using this technique all the time now, and then printing the pictures that are selected from the contact sheets, which are digitized in the same manner.

Thanks for looking in! :D

Actually, these were B&W to start with, but I did convert the Negative. It now speaks fluent Latin and will probably vote Democrat!
