I think the out of focused portion at the top is distracting, unfortunately I tried to capture it again but the sun went in.

I completely agree with you regarding the out of focus areas .... there is much too much that is out of focus and a very narrow band that is in focus. I like the concept that you were going for, but just don't think you hit the mark with it. I think it would be worthy of a reshoot, using methods that will increase your depth of field rather than limit it. Use a tripod so that you can use smaller apertures and longer shutter speeds.

The tripod is one thing I did not bring today (duh). I will be bringing it with me from now on. I will definitely try a reshoot. Thanks for the critique Carl! :D
