Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

I kind of cheated on these. I replaced the dull, grey background behind this Yellow-bellied Sapsucker with a gradient blue. Everything else is real :D

Great close up. What focal length lens did you use and how close were you?

Thanks very much.

These were shot with the Fujifilm HS-10 (a fixed-lens bridge camera) through double-pane glass at a distance of about 18-19 feet. The HS-10 is capable of 720mm (30x). It wasn't racked out for the first image but it was for the second.
