Re: Lake Sherburne - Glacier National Park

For some reason I am unable to see this image. Just a little box with a red "x" in it. :S

Re: Before Irene

Thanks guys for your kind words. When I saw this in my camera I knew exactly what I wanted out of the final product. I'm not usually a fan of post processing that takes the "photography" away and...

Before Irene

It's been a while since I have posted here but I wanted to share this photo that I took the night before Irene hammered our coast. There were tons of people in the water surfing the big waves that...

Re: My sons goal.....

I think the first picture captures the scale of that "big ramp" nicely. The clarity and composition are effective too. Nice capture.

Re: Pow Wow

I really enjoy the colors and the motion in this but I have to be the odd ball in that it might have been interesting to catch the entire body, feet included so there is some anchor to the subject...

Rusty Wires

I bought a 60mm macro lens about two months ago and I have had a blast with it. There are no limits to what you can take pictures of with it. I started working on my own 365 Project...

Re: Egret standing in the wind.

I like this round of edits much better. I tried out Lightroom but just couldn't get comfortable with it. I wish I could because I've heard some great things about it. I tend to be a creature of habit...

Re: Egret standing in the wind.

Hey Scott. I hope it's okay but I did a "levels" adjustment to show you what I was thinking. I read this great tutorial one time on how to use a levels adjustment layer to clear any color casts and...

Re: Egret standing in the wind.

I agree they are quite dark but could be easily brought up with a levels adjustment layer.

Re: Strike a Light

That's really neat. Macro amazes me because the options are endless. I'm having a blast with my new macro lens.

Re: Children

As for a critique, I'm not really a portrait photographer but I will say I have to agree with Mario. The extra space behind the child is awkward. I don't know if this is a test shot or the final...

Re: The kids at the park...

Great candids. Especially love the first one. What lens were you using? Love wide angles on portraits. Candid kids are great fun I think.

Re: A humbling shoot - Customer not satisfied

I agree with all that was said regarding the posing and especially the angles. The swing shots are especially static and unpleasing to the general viewer. There is a multitude of information out...

Re: Coal Creek

The second one has great use of contrast and texture in it. Also really enjoy the colors in the gravel. Nice capture!

365 Project

Has anyone here ever done a photo a day for a year project? I had started it a while back but just didn't have time to spend on the computer every night uploading a photo a day. I have a pretty...
