Unfortunately there isnt any other choice, that Im aware of.
If you want to stick Nikon and have a wide angle lense that is wider than 18 for crop sensor, those are your two choices. Start saving...

Depends if you want to stick with Nikon brand name or not.

From Nikon you can check out:
- Nikon 10-24 f3.5-4.5 ED for about $999
- Nikon 12-24 f4 IF-ED for just over $1000 about...

I think photoshop is just another tool to the photographer. Just like have a lens in the bag, photoshop is a part of a lot of photographers work.

I agree with the two previous comments but Id also like to see less depth of field in the shot. Blurry background, lower fstop, to isolate the subject.

In terms of which head to go with you could also check out Jobu gimbal heads.
Their BWG-Pro gimbal is good and is rated to hold the 600mm F4...

I think I like the lower half of the body the most, the top half I think there isnt quite enough there. But the bottom is awesome, with the jeans and feet. Love it
