What was your focal length on this?

if you are using the CC version of Lightroom a small adjustment of the haze slider would clear up that distant haze and I agree a light touch of contrast...

I used the new lighroom filter "add sticks" then tossed in a bit of "OOF" filter at 75% in PS.

Maybe I should delete that layer :D

I also didnt use "water" for the droplets, its actually watered down glycerin, been meaning to use it for some time and this was my first attempt at it... Was the whole reason I was out shooting. ...

couldnt take it, got up to check my settings, and yeah looking at yours on the calibrated screen, the only real difference is your light isn't as diffuse as mine was. Bounce will fix that up.

I suspect your flower is much bigger than mine - so you were further away.
Lena was stopped all the way down 1/60th on a cloudy day Sb-600 on the hot shoe pointed backward set to full power...

SB-600 flash on the shoe, pointed up reflected off an umbrella I manually balanced over the whole mess... complete hack job in the field :D

As to the OOF bits, its not so much a nature of nature LOL, as the nature of F2.8 :-D, and a really nice lens that is broken so only lets me have F2.8. :D

When in doubt, keep the horizon level, kind of like when in doubt make sure the eyes are focused.

That is pretty awesome, going to go with the shot of the Eagle actually drinking. It is not the most common thing to get to watch. A unique shot that is unlikely to look like every other eagle...

I certainly don't think the photo itself is at a particular loss for not having that bit of detail, and heck, if you give me a 20x30 print it may be entirely obvious :D
