Galleries: How to Upload Photos

Puzzled on how to upload your photos to the galleries? Follow this tutorial and find out!

First off, go to the galleries by clicking the "Galleries" tab in the top menu. When you are in the gallery, click the "Upload Photos" in the main gallery menu (See image below).

That will bring up the Upload Photo dialog as you can see in the picture below.

When you are in the upload dialog you will see first a bar indicating how much space you have used and how much you have left.

Below that you will have a choice to either put the image in an "all member" album, which is defined by categories such as "Landscape", "Flowers" etc. that all members can upload to or if you want to put it into your own album. To upload to your own album, you have to first create it, which is covered in another tutorial. So just select a category or album and then in the next part, browse for an image on your computer to upload (you can alternatively skip down to the "Extra Options" section and fill in a URL to take images from). If you want (and we recommend that you do!), you can give all your images keywords, a description and a title as default, or if you only upload one image, fill in those fields and then hit "Upload/Submit". That will either upload the image, if you only selected one image, or take you to the multiple upload dialog if you selected multiple images.

This dialog will let you choose category, title, description and keywords for each of the images. It will also let you choose if you want to add it now or if you want it to be put on hold. When you are done, click "Process." Watch while your images get uploaded and then hope you will get comments on them.

Thanks for another great tutorial, Erik B.!
