the noise is pretty less at iso 400, and at tv = 2.5 and at this size the image looks acceptably sharp too.

I dont think I would have managed such a shot without tripod.

thanks for exif

all i did for the shot was put it on a rock and hold it steady i think this was number three of 5 due to pepole bummping in to me so i had to keep retaking it. i have some others that i was moving it also

but thank you

also this is a digital image not a film image, and as a tip the lower the iso the less grain it has in teh film. if i would have thought about it i would have lowerd the iso on this one lower then 400 i would have put ti more like 200 or even 100 to find out if it would have worked better

yes Mickey, I understand the relation of ISO and Digital noise in digital cameras,

I have a Nikon D70,

All I wanted to say was that canon dig reb too has lower noise, even at iso 400.

But then CMOS sensors are know to have lower noise than CCD sensors and your dig rebel has CMOS sensor.

enjoy your camera

ok i thought you were referring to taking it with film, but i have found that it depends on the lighting in the are i have one that i had to crop tighter then i wanted to to get rid of some of the noise that was in it.

also i just found a plugin for photo shop lastnight for noise reduction but i have yet to try it to see if it will help any
