My first go at some selective colour!

Alright, I was feeling brave and thought that I would stick this one in for the full critique!

I thought that this would work for some selective work since the original is a strong colour.

I have not been totally careful with the selection - unfortunately I was working with a touchpad for the selection and photoshop is a complete nightmare with the touchpad But I think it's close enough for the time being.

If this works I may re-work more carefully but wanted some critique on the general concept and feel before spending more time on it.

On a personal note, I really am quite pleased with this but don't let this cloud the critique .

Let me know what you reckon - I'm in a strong mood!

Great job on the editing, and I think it really works well in this image, for the fact that much of the background has no defining tonal range, but lots of distractions.

I think you did a great job with this. I envy those who brave the sel color tech. The background is a little busy but not enough to deterr my eye from the subject, well done nice shot!

other than i am not a big fan of selective color, the pic looks good. there is just not a lot of interest here for me. i think if you had it at a different angle, it looks like i could be looking at it just standing there making it a normal everyday thing.
speaking of different angles, there is a great pic you should check out, its titled "step this way" you should leave a comment on it!!

lmao - I don't believe that I have seen that one!

Urm - have a look in the sharing post that I stuck a different angle of this shot into . . . see what you think of that one.

Appreciate the comments though - thanks again.
