Just an observation, and something for you to think about before buying one.

One thing that doesn't occur until it's installed, is that you can't take a picture with the shade open. The shade gets in the way of your face. So, if you want a quick look at your picture between shots, it's likely that you'll have to shoot, open, close, shoot, repeat. It wasn't very convenient for him. Not only that, but a lot of the time his LCD would turn off by the time he opened the shade.

Yeah, I actually bought 1 myself, and didn't really like it that much for the reason posted above... found myself constantly opening and closing it. In addition, it didn't fit "tightly" so I found it wiggeling alot. Meh.

I am discovering the same thing with my Nikon D200. If your camera will allow it you can use the LCD screen to compose and shoot which then would be okay. But Nikon does not allow using the LCD screen in this way. So.....have to close to use view finder.
