Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

I kind of cheated on these. I replaced the dull, grey background behind this Yellow-bellied Sapsucker with a gradient blue. Everything else is real

Great close up. What focal length lens did you use and how close were you?

Thanks very much.

These were shot with the Fujifilm HS-10 (a fixed-lens bridge camera) through double-pane glass at a distance of about 18-19 feet. The HS-10 is capable of 720mm (30x). It wasn't racked out for the first image but it was for the second.
