At a snail's pace
Don't know if this is the edible kind but it sure looks yummy to me.

Re: At a snail's pace
Thanks Janos. I went on the other side of my fence and turned over a board looking for something to shoot. I wasn't worried about him/her getting away while I went back inside to get the camera.

Re: At a snail's pace
Brave - or extremely hungry - was the first person that spied one of those fellas and said "I think I should eat that"
Regardless, a wonderfully crisp photo. You can feel his slimy body just looking at it....

Re: At a snail's pace
Thanks Clark, Gary and Mario for commenting. A snail is not an exciting subject but I get the itch to shoot SOMETHING and have to scratch. Guess it's like the old gunslinger who had an itchy trigger finger.

Re: At a snail's pace
Thanks Bill. Yesterday I turned over a gas can that was sitting on the ground and there was a nice spider to photograph. After downloading them I wasn't happy with them as the detail was lacking. Maybe if I wasn't so forgetful and would have put my camera in manual instead of aperture priority that gave me a shutter speed of 1/60 they would have come out nicely. Forgetting some small detail is par for the course for me. And it gets no better.
