old feel
A neighbour's old barn. Tried to give it a bit of a vintage feel, and I think I succeeded. Hope I didn't overdo it.
C&C welcome and appreciated. ![]()

Re: old feel
Thanks for commenting, Jen. I'm glad you like this.
I downloaded a couple of vintage actions of the internet. I really don't like them on their own - they always seems way too harsh on my photos - but with a few tweaks here and there I seem to be coming up with some decent stuff.

Re: old feel
You mention you are hopeless in Photoshop. don't know if that is true or not. If you have an action or filter that makes something too harsh, you can always lower the opacity of the layer it is on. That might help.
As far as the photo goes, it definitely looks old. My only question is, if you had taken this photo 30 years ago and the print looked like this, would you can it and share it? Scott |

Re: old feel
I guess, if I had taken this 30 years ago I wouldn't have known how a photo might be able to look any different.
As for now, I really like what I came up with. The original was quite green, but dull, so I tried something different, and like it. About Photoshop... yes, it's true, I am not very good. I only recently learned what layers are and how I can use them. I'm trying to practice more now. Not because I want to change all my photos (I still try and take the photo, the way I want it, straight away), but it's nice to know what I could do.
