Boston Baker
I went to Boston last fall and finally got around to processing the photos. We missed the fall colors by a couple of weeks. This is one of my favorites from the trip. I've been playing with different processing techniques lately. Not sure if this fits the subject but it's different and I like it.
What do you think? If you like it, tell me what you like. If not, tell me what you don't like. I have thick skin. You wont hurt my feelings. ![]() |

Re: Boston Baker
I like the image, but think the processing is a bit much for the feel of the photo.

Re: Boston Baker
Nice image. Its a bit over-processed, and crop out the sleeves on the right.

Re: Boston Baker
I like the image and the processing gives it an old fashioned feel and mood to it. Nice. Given that independent bakers and shops are not near as ubiquitous as they once were, I like this as it hearkens back to an older time.

Thanks to all for your comments.
Janos, that is it. You got what I was trying to say. I guess I need to work on the processing. Maybe a little desaturation would help? |

Re: Boston Baker
On my monitor the image has a slightly bluish cast to it, probably a function of your White Balance setting and something other than just sunlight or any single lighting temp being dominant, ie AWB read mostly incandescent/tungsten (yellowish) thus "cool" it down but persence of daylight or fluorescent or ??? may have biased it further. You could probably temper this by adjusting separate color channels (ie R,G,B) in Levels. I'm uncertain about the tradeoff in the blurred left hand imparting motion vs otherwise being a distraction. I'd encourage you to post larger images, preferably at least 800 pixels wide. It allows viewers to better assess detail and thus better critique the photo(s).
