Still experimenting with lighting, I used a "simulated" soft box to make the shadows less harsh and still retain some of the ambient light.

Ambient only with all the blemishes and the holder

Gary, I strongly prefer the 2nd. Softer shadows and less specular reflections in the "dewdrops"!

I also like the second one. Great job !! I tried to work with flowers not that long ago and mine did turn out anything like that. Almost jealous

Thanks very much. Florals require a little extra time and attention to minute detail. Every flower is different and presents a different nuance. Once you get the knack of it, it's pretty easy.
