On the surface the spec's look pretty good but I still have to ask, Why?

Granted it allows you to use your EF Lenses but to me if you mount anything bigger than an 85mm the compact factor goes out the window. Essentially you have a lens connected to a something not much larger than an iPhone. Seems like that would be awkward.

The lack of an EVF and no pop up flash also seem strange in a camera of this type. I know you can add them but with the cost why not just buy a T4i?
