Climb that Mountain

Another view up the four mile trail. I had ridden the bus with the two hikers above me to our starting point. They had stopped for a quick meal and had finally caught up and passed me. I would catch them again resting up a Glacier Point and watch them walk by heading down the Panorama Trail. It was a beautiful day for a hike and I bagged about 16 miles finishing by headlamp coming down the Mist Trail.

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”

Re: Climb that Mountain

Clark,
16 miles, finishing by headlamp.....a worthy day's effort....kudos!

On this image I'd be tempted to have taken a vertical of the left 2/3, perhaps capturing the treetops and emphasizing the vertical lines and sense of height conveyed by the trail, trees, and background mtn. Re the B&W processing, this has a "crispness" (for lack of a better word) reminiscent of over-sharpened images.
