Best Settings for Indoor Shots with Canon SL1/100D

Hi everybody! So I've shown signs of improvement with taking pictures in the wake of viewing numerous instructional exercises. Then again, I think that its difficult to take indoor photographs in low light with my camera. I run a style web journal where I post pictures of myself wearing outfits, pictures of myself for cosmetics instructional exercises, and so forth. What might be the best setting to get the most out of my lens for indoor, low light shots? I've had a go at everything with the present information that I have...

I utilize the pack lens: 18-55mm

Without knowing how poor the light is, it is hard to give exact settings. However, here is starting place for you. Take a look at the image and adjust.

Manual mode:

F5.6
ISO 640
Shutter speed 1/60

The simplest solution is head to the big box hardware store and grab some cheap strip or spot lights that will illuminate the room easily. That $15-20 will make your indoor shots so much easier.
