Re: Candlelight

Simple, clean, and therefore powerful image. I like the long reflection of the candlelight on the table(?). There is considerable negative space, good if for a magazine cover but otherwise I'd crop tighter. Testing my theory I started my cropping down and in from the right but reversed and cropped down and in from the left.

Re: Candlelight

I did a crop as well for another forum I'm on as they prefer 1024 long side images with exif to provide better technical feedback. I do like the negative space though in this one, not sure why either Here is my cropped version and we both came out to the same crop.

Re: Candlelight

i like the crop version better, too, Manny. the original had too much space above the model's head. the space below (foreground) with the light reflections is good,,, the reflections lead you to the candlelight and the model's face. a very simple, yet dramatic and effective photo!

Re: Candlelight

Love the candle light glow lighting the model and the long reflection and agree with the previous comments, preferring the cropped image. If it were me, and it's not, I would even make a tighter crop removing a bit off the bottom and some more from the top.
