Advise On Using LightRoom

Good Morning and Happy Holidays!

Santa is bringing me Lightroom and I am trying to prepare myself for the transition from Elements 9 over to Lightroom.

Can anyone share their experiences and/or advise?

Thanks
Harry

Re: Advise On Using LightRoom

I would say pick up one of Scott Kelby's books on lightroom. While I don't adhere to all his principles and methods, He does a great job of walking you through all the thing you can do with Lightroom.

Re: Advise On Using LightRoom

I'll second the Kelby book. In fact I'd grab that before I did anything. After you install, setting up your catalog(s) and such can make you pull your hair out if you don't have any experience with the tool. If you don't accomplish this correctly from the start it can be a long and frustrating road ahead.

Excellent. Thanks for the advise.

Santa is also bringing that book so I will have the tools to get a running start.

Re: Advise On Using LightRoom

lightroom is a basic (well advanced basic) raw processor. Easy to use. Just play around with it.
