What is most interesting is the article is about the best and highly dependent on what one means by the best.

I noticed the Canon 1d series and Nikon D4, D4s, D5 were not included and certainly are as good or even better in terms of quality.

i would have expected the Canon 1Dx on that list... it is, after all, the top of Canon's line, at least till the Mk II comes out. the 5Ds was likely included only because of its 50Mp resolution; otherwise, it's not much of an improvement over a 5D Mk III. but, like Clark said, this is a subjective list, and i suppose you could ask 10 photographers for their list of "10 best cameras" and get 10 different lists...

Decades? DSLRs haven't really been around much more than a decade, and in the beginning, weren't popular at all. Remember when film diehards wouldn't touch a digital camera with a ten foot tripod?
