I used to use HSB layers to adjust and saturate colors more. I find this technique though much simpler and have not had issues of banding in my skies since employing it.

It is amazingly simple.

Well, yes! I click the link and its an easy and great way to increase saturation and enhance color in Photoshop. Glad that you took the time to share it here. It could be useful.
