Re: Going Global

I'd been thinking about this after seeing an ad recently, that uses the technique.
I had to look it up on how to make it global.
Best to make sure both sides of the image are of equal height so the ends meet up into a circle.
If you want it to be a circle, you have to transform your image into a square by using Image>size, and turning off constrain proportions and making the long side the same size as the short size.
Then flip it upside down if you want a globe shape as opposed to the fisheye look you have Orv.
I did one if you want to see how it comes out, or you can do one or two yourself.

Re: Going Global

Thanks Mr Chilie, for the hints, That was the first time I played with it on a long and lonely night....... it seems like one needs the right image to work with or it doesn't work as well. Please post on this post the ones you did if you want too. I'd be interested.

Re: Going Global

Now those are really good, thanks for posting them. Now I will have to try a bit harder.

Re: Going Global

Man Orv, that first one looks like the Tidy Bowl Man got tired of rowing, and took up surfing. It's really cool, great stuff, and I suppose between you and Chile, I'll be wanting to get one of those alternate reality lenses myself.
