Summer Tanager

This is the first one I have ever seen. It was outside my window at work so I grabbed my camera. I had no Idea what kind it was, someone told me it was a summer tanager

Beautifully captured. I really like the nice red bird against the green leaves. You must live in the South ?

Hmmm... they must honor the Mason Dixon line I guess.

I've always read the the Summer Tananger is the red bird of the South whereas his cousin the Scarlet Tananger is more frequently seen in the North.

It is very beautiful color, I think 90% it is the Red Factor Canary . ( not sure ).

That bird is not as deep red and canary's are smaller. I had a couple people identify it, but thanks for your help I had no idea canaries even came in different colors
