I love kestrals. I fly an American Kestral weekly at work, I need to take pictures of him.

It may be a Common Kestral, but this shot is uncommonly excellent. Wonderful lighting and light in the eye, sharp as a tack, and attractive POV.

Wonderful shot Rahil. As a frustrated wildlife photographer myself I realise how hard it is to capture something like this. Just one small suggestion for improvement: The sky above the subject is just adding a tad too much negative space for my liking. Perhaps just a slightly tighter crop there would help. Other than that it is excellent work!

Rahil, we have kestrels here too and I have never captured them like you have here. Great job on exposure. Gotta love the golden light!

Great capture and detail. I assume this is a female as the males are much more colorful I believe.
