Dragonflies

Hi All

I've been trying to capture a good dragonfly, I think I'm slowly getting there.

Handheld, 100mm macro on a 40D

Nice series you captured here. Thw 1st one i find very dark...could use some lightening up a bit.the other three i like...very good closeups. Nice job.

nice attempts, the first one is a damselfly,, you should try a different angle, try to get some facials, some of these can be very shy and hard to capture but some will let you right in, we have some here in Florida that will let me get within inches and fire away as long as I want then there are some that wont let me get even close,, keep trying, they are interesting subjects for sure

Catching Dragonfly is the most difficult task. They are so restless. The second one and the third one are fantastic shots. Great.

thanks for the posts guys muchly appreciated

they were on my second day of shooting them basically so am really happy with how they turned out
