Cannot process RAW images

I was trying out my new 7D with my new Sigma 17-70. Took some shots and when I uploaded them it will not let me process. Lightroom said they were unsupported or damaged. I can view them in ZoomBrowzer, but can't do anything with them. Tried Camera Raw no picture shows up at all. HELP!!!!!

Re: Cannot process RAW images

Try checking to see if there is an update for Lightroom or the 7D, more than likely I would think it would be for Lightroom.

Re: Cannot process RAW images

You will need the latest version of ACR to read 7D RAW images.

The latest version of ACR only works with CS4 and I am assuming the latest version of lighteoom, so:

try using the DNG converter - you should then be able to work with the RAW files as DNG files with no loss of quality.

Re: Cannot process RAW images

I cannot process them anywhere. I have tried CS4, ZoomBrowzer, Canon Raw Converter. Not sure what the problem is.

Thanks! I am updating Lightroom now. Will check with CS4 after. Can't imagine having fairly new software that doesn't support the 7D. May need to do some kind of update on it too.

Glad to here it worked. If I'm not mistaken the 7D was released after CS4 and Lightroom 2, hence the reason for the update.
