Stay off tracks and abide by safety rails. saw one couple a top the viewing area at Upper Yosemite falls climb over the railing to take pics. The drop below is well over 1000 ft. I just kept holding my breath hoping nothing would happen until after I left.

Re: Photographer Killed by Train During Photo Shoot in Fresno, CA

Is it really worth it? Obviously not. I totally understand wanting to get a shot without rails/fences/wire, but nothing is worth risking my life, or the life of others. I'd rather find of another location.

Re: Photographer Killed by Train During Photo Shoot in Fresno, CA

Even I had visions of doing shoots on the railroad tracks when I first picked up a camera. I even started researching places local to me and then I found out it was illegal, so being most If not all the models I use and know are family and or friends, I gave up on that idea.

There is a place in Poway, CA that has tracks in their Old Town park where it is perfectly fine to shoot from.
