It came out of the camera like this

Other than workflow and export via LR this came SOCC No photoshp, no GIMP, no PSP or any other software editing program.

So the question is whether or not you consider this a photograph.

Re: It came out of the camera like this

If it starts with the click of a shutter with light passing through a lens onto light recording material it begins life as a photograph and the DNA remains a photograph no matter how the photographer completes his or her vision final we view.

Re: It came out of the camera like this

I've been a little frustrated with those who feel Photoshop and other editors should be banned. Yeah I know only trolls post stuff like that and they don't realize how much processing is performed by today's camera

Re: It came out of the camera like this

Those who know me from the past in other forums know that I look at the final print as the "report card" of the artwork.

I don't care what process is used, from straight unmanipulated photo (which is actually a rarity), or any kind of photoshopped work (we did that in the old days by dodging, burning, spotting, coloring, high contrast derivations . . . . lots of stuff like that) to filters . . .

. . . . if you hang it on the wall and it works, it's fine by me. The final print is the proof of the pudding.
