Re: 10 Myths About the Rule of Thirds

I skimmed thru the article and it seems worthy of coming back to when time allows. I do wish he came across as less elitist, condescending, and generally snarky. Good luck of trying to get most users applying the Dynamic Symmetry Grid. My issue with most folks or article writers disputing the benefit of Rule of Thirds is that they (and many users) see it as an absolute, ie a rigid doctrine. It is merely a tool/guideline that is to be used flexibly with your discretion and in concert with several or even many other considerations in the overall composition. It is a good tool to understand at any level and will improve as one better understands how to and to what degree to apply it for its ultimate purpose.....composition enhancement, in itself a subjective topic.
