Sunset, Nubble Light

The Golden Hour or approximately 10 minutes before the sun dipped into a bank of clouds, but we take what we can get! Shot from roughly the same point on the rocks as the sunrise shots I posted earlier.

Re: Sunset, Nubble Light

3rd one is definitely my favorite. In the first one, the lighthouse is too small and the telephone poles on the left detract. The second one is much better composed, but after seeing the third one, I don't think that the foreground rocks are necessary for the scene, but that is just personal taste. The last one is also well composed, but has much richer color, and the building on the bottom left provides foreground interest and some depth to the scene. I really like it.

Re: Sunset, Nubble Light

I guess I am in a feisty mood today.

#1 This is a lovely shot and I like it because it gives a sense of place but I do agree that unlike the sunset shot the telephone poles could be cloned out.

#2 Is well exposed but I find it rather boring.

#3 I agree with jimbo on this being a wonderful photo. This is a very nice architectural shot that not only shows the lighthouse but the beautiful well kept grounds and lovely home where the keeper lives.

Re: Sunset, Nubble Light

Thanks folks, nothing wrong with a little feisty now and then Lynn! Third shot was my favorite as well.

And Gus even made an appearance in the lower left. (pop refugees will know what I mean).
