To tablet or not to tablet

I am thinking of getting a wacom tablet. The problem or rather fear I have is that with pencil and paper I have problems even drawing stick figures. Anyhow I am just curious with other experience or perhaps shared fears of moving to the tablet or staying with a mouse.

My typical workflow for bulk work is primarily LR and generally moving sliders and simple adjustments. Its only on the "Keepers" that I may go into PS and play around typically adding a curves layer, HSB layer, and a Dodge and Burn Layer. In Rare instances I may use masking and additional layers. For BW my current workflow is to duplicate the background layer and then apply dxo as a filter which then opens the image up in dxo's software (or nik filters if I use them) and saves back into PS allowing further work to dodge and burn for BW. Once done in PS I save out to LR which is imported and then a last bump in LR for output.

I will also use the content aware healing brush for dust spots and stray branches, hairs and to some extent other unwanted items typically around the edges that I do not want to crop

Things I don't do:
Blending layers....I have not seen a need for this in my work and I don't replace skies clouds etc...
No Compositing... Unless I am creating something for a specific purpose (like a dyptich) or creating a poster sized print of multiple images.

Workload
Dog shows....3000-4000 images week long time frame to post.
Sporting events..5000-12000 images with 1-2 days to post (usually shot in jpg and only processed in LR)
Hiking Blog...100-300 1-2 weeks to process

I am looking to shooting less (volume) at sporting events which are primarily XC, Track and Field events at the High School level for a media company

I am looking to find if something like the intuos photo tablet and pen kit would ease my workflow.

I also use a PC workstation so looking to also ensure compatibility with platform.

Does this sound like a tablet would help me?
