New stuff

As part of my wedding business, I have been looking at the new 24-70 f2.8 from Canon. Kinda pricey - but the reviews are outstanding. While lusting after this lens - I came across a deal that I really couldn't pass up.

Last month B&H (and probably several others) had the 5dM3 with the 24-105 f4 lens available as a kit.

I pulled the trigger on it.

I couldn't be more happy with this combination - first of all - that 5dM3 is freaking amazing. You can push the ISO to the moon with barely a whisper of noise - .... and having said that - that means that the f4 on the 24-105 becomes more irrelevant compared to the 2.8 on the 24 - 70. (yeah, go ahead and pile on here about bokeh... I know, I know).

It's (the 5dm3) an amazing camera - period (and most of you that follow me - this is not bagging on Nikon or Sony, or whatever)

The 24-105 is a great lens also (a very great walk around lens).
The combination is outstanding.

Here is a sample -
