Sharing,,

two little guys sharing some fresh spring flower,, image was shot hand held with off camera flash, processing was done using Nik software's Viveza to control light, the flowers were somewhat over exposed while the subject was somewhat under, so using Viveza "control point technology" you are able to control the light very easily especially the background flower which was a little over powering here, I also used Nik Color efex Pro 4.0 which has several "filters" to enhance the colors here ,, again, this entire flower is no more then one inch in diameter by keeping the flash somewhat LOW and my ISO higher I want to allow a more natural look while still allowing in ambient light which is VERY important

Re: Sharing,,

Well done Jim! Boy those colors really pop.

Got to love the control point interface. When you are really looking for pinpoint control there is nothing better.

Re: Sharing,,

Wonderful result, Jim. I really like the focus and colour in this. I have to admire how often you are able to catch little fellas like these with such detail. Way to go

Re: Sharing,,

Compositionally, dealing with pairs (especially just 1) is tough to pull off but I like the way the back flower sorta mirrors/echoes the front one. Nice sharpness and rich colors. I like the iridescence in the fly's wing.

Re: Sharing,,

Love this recorded slice of nature, color, FOF and the use of a repetitive OOF flower in the background. My cup of tea, more than just well done. Thanks for sharing this nature moment.

Re: Sharing,,

Incredibly nice for 1000 ISO, but it's the composition that really makes this work Jim.
