Gorgeous colors Jim and I love the DOF.
Not an easy shot to get the focus where you want it.
Please tell me it took you a few tries to get this.

Thank you John,, yes it did take a few tries, I think I took probably 5 images here, any little wind ( which there was plenty of ) really affects the focus and DOF so this wasnt that easy to capture

Very well done Jim. I just came in from trying to shoot some honeysuckle buds and the gentle but constant breeze is unbearable.

Re: Budds ,, macro

Jim, did you add vignetting in PP? If so, its quite effective at driving the eye to the center yet providing "breathing space". I like the uber shallow DOF and subsequent bokeh, but the effectiveness looks somewhat diluted by the brightness of the whites (enlarged by soft focus) surrounding the sharp elements.

Thank you Janos and Russ,,
Russ,, I did "shape" the light or vignetting here with Viveza 2 , yes and I agree with the whites, I probably could have taken a control point on each one of those points and toned it back just a hair
Thanks again guys
