Tuolumne Meadows

Tuolumne Meadows is a wonderful place to visit in the early, early morning. You can spot herds of deer enjoy the sun climbing over Lembert Dome and the other peaks to the east. By afternoon the area is crowded with people climbing pothole Dome.

Looking up Pothole Dome

The haze is from a huge fire in the Sierra National forest

They were quite distant but there is a small herd of deer (I counted 5)

This one was real tricky as I was facing directly into the sun but I think I caught it pretty well

After a short nap we returned to our beginning and I caught this on pothole dome. Something about trees growing through granite that just amazes me.

More Deer shots

I kept waiting for this guy to turn around, as he had a very nice rack to shoot. As I was stepping he kept turning away and walking off so I figured this was his best side.

Again if your in Tuolumne Meadows and you want to see lots of deer get out around 6AM

Re: Tuolumne Meadows

As usual a very nice series...the 1st shot looks like a very steep climb lol. I also love that 4th shot. Nice shooting.
