Autumn blaze

since the color in the mountains seems to have pretty much disappeared already, i went back and re-visited my shots from last weekend, and found one i'd somehow overlooked. this is Nason Creek, right next to highway 2 north of Leavenworth, WA... 5D2, 24-105 @ 45mm, 1/100 @ f/11, -1.67EV

Great colors Rocky. You really do a great job in bringing out the fall color.

Re: Autumn blaze

Loving the colors Rocky. I'm hoping to get out to the Blue Ridge this weekend, but it's been so rainy the past few days I half suspect that any beautiful leaves that were on the trees won't be by the time I get to go up there.

Re: Autumn blaze

Rocky,
Nice pic....conveys the coolness of autumn yet the warmth of the sun.
We completed a 6 day loop over the N. Cascades, over Loup Loup Pass into the Okanogan Valley, down thru Grand Coulee and up Tumwater Canyon, staying our last night at Lake Wenatchee SP right near Nason Creek. I was pleasantly surprised to find the higher elevation foliage much better than in the lowlands. Larch were at/near peak as were Mtn Ash. Not sure how things will be after this week's weather!

thanks, Ian! it's pretty much done here, at least in the mountains... there might be some shots left to get down in the lowlands here for another week or two yet, if the weather cooperates...
