Hello

Hello I'm new here and this is my first DSLR camera. I bought to take photos of my Granddaughters volleyball games. I have a Canon SL1 and both kit lens 18-55 and 70-300 and not able to upgrade right now. Any suggestions would be helpful..I'm beginning to understand i should have bought another lens.

Re: Hello

Probably your best approach to the volleyball shots with the lens you have is to get as close as possible to the action. Often there are great shots to be had at the net so getting close to the net, on the sidelines, can also be good. Prefocusing on the net at the expected point of action is also worth trying. Keep your shutter speed high to freeze movement (as long as there is sufficient ambient light. But the best advice I would give is to take lots of pics and learn from your results. I presume you will have lots of opportunities at lots of games so that's a big bonus.
