Oak Grove at Moonset

From the trail heading up to High Point. The tips of Palomar Mtn are just seeing the first rays of morning light. This was the beginning of a wonderfully brutal hike 3100' and 8 miles as I had to cut it a bit short due to prescribed burns on the trail.

The burn was done, but the area smelled heavily of soot and ash and multiple charged fire hose lain out. I decided to turn around and comeback down rather than completing the last 1.5 miles to a fire look out.

Re: Oak Grove at Moonset

Wow... I can't believe how green you have it. We got another 30cms of snow the other day. haha. Saying that, it's gonna go up to 14C today, and maybe a couple more days, so most of that will hopefully go.
Thanks for sharing.
