Aggrivated at Adobe and Nikon

Hi All,

I recently upgraded from a D90 to a D7200 and have been pretty happy until this week. It was the first day of school (my son is a senior) so I new I only had a couple of seconds to grab a couple of pics before he jumped in his car and took off. I don't usually shoot in raw but I decided to try it since it was a gloomy day and it would be a great opportunity to see what I could do with it in camera raw. I have been using elements since version 2 and I currently use version 12 so imagine my surprise when I found out that version 12 will not open the file. Looks like I will have to go up to the current release which is 14 -- but before doing so, I started to check and see if 15 was coming out. They usually introduce in the fall but google did now up anything .. is adobe trying to force the elements users to the cloud applications as well?

Re: Aggrivated at Adobe and Nikon

Did Nikon send you a version of capture that you could use...at least for these photos.

As far as Elements goes I just checked with adobe and there is nothing from them on when they are going to release a version 15. There are numerous reports of people having problems licensing Elements 14 as late as July 2016. It takes several days or that issue to be resolved but basically the fix is to re-issue the license serial number.

From the Creative Could side they have some decent deals for photographers for LR and PS at a much better price point than previously offered for the entire creative suite and if you take classes, student packages with are also very inexpensive....cheaper than buying the older standalone version at $700 a pop.
