Thunder, Teresa, VB, Legster, Alyeska and Yaya.. Thanks for your comments and concern.. Its a blast for me to take these dangerous critters away before somebody gets hurt or killed. The above snake is said by some to be the most dangerous snake around in the USA. It is very tempermental and has two types of poision.. There is a strain of them SE of Phoenix that is extra pisionous and can drop a man in 20 minutes. In a case like that, your learn or you could get bit.
Teresa, Sean is welcome to go, but must be ready to go when I come . There is a real danger when a rattlesnake is in a homeowners yard..

Great shots, I thought it was a blacktail rattlesnake for a second, but its another diamondback. Have you ever been called for a harmless snake, like a kingsnake?

Thanks Herps It is not a diamondback. Its a C.scutulatus. We call them scuts for short. Below is a link for the Texas Mojave

I do rattlesnakes but every once in a while I will get a gopher snake, a longnosed snake or even pet snakes, Boas or pythons
Califorina King snakes are also relocated as well as Coral plus the other rattlesnakes. There are 40 of us in the Phoenix area that does relocations

Fleas, love the scute. It is amazing to find one that is willing to offer to bite from a stretched out position instead of taking the time to coil first. Have seen other types of snakes do this, but they were all non-venomous, one of which is my FL Kingsnake.

Thanks Katsnake. I think the reason she did this was being irrated to the extreme before I arrived.

That will do it every time. I know I would not want to have shovelfuls of dirt thrown at me either. I would be spittin' venom at anything with legs too. Glad they didn't try to use the shovel the rednek way though, the snake deserved to be back out in the desert.
