Hehe... I remember taking pictures like that... they look nice. You can tell they were taken by a disposable camera, though... imagine what they would have looked like if you had a nice SLR camera!

yeah imagine how much food I could buy if I had money to buy an nice SLR

I'm a student lol.

Yeah the originals are much better as these were also scanned in on a crappy scanner so the colours are not true, but you know if you wanna give me a nice camera I will happily sit and wait for a good sunrise, should be lots coming soon

Have some smoky sunsets from when the local moors went on fire and they were pretty good too but again, limitations of disposable camera and bad scanner

My too. 3rd one is my favorite. There is something about the combination of sunset, mother nature and buildings.

Yeah the third one is my favourite too.

It's taken from my roof so you have the roofs of the houses up the road.

I live in a wee town in scotland and some of the shots you can get are awesome. I have some more of the harbour and things but don't know where they are, I maybe didn't scan them in.

Pictures like these will benefit from polarizer. which will help to cut down the haze and render sky in richer colors and also at times
the use of warming filter will give the warmth to this kind of lighting....

I konw you are using a point and shoot, but I thought I should take this picture as an example and comment on it, hopefully someone would benefit.
