Ginsu
I'm not familiar with the term Ginsu?

It is a knife, sold on TV infomercials, supposedly never gets dull, and can cut through bowling balls and bricks, then cut a tomatoe paper thin

Thanks for your comment, Koala it's appreciated
HAHAHAHAHA I have one that used to be my mom's. Its still sharp. LOL How funny.

Wow that's one HUGE pumpkin. Good captures and thanks for sharing with us. I don't think I would have wanted to clean that sucker out b/c I think you would have had to climb right in.

I grow them. The current world record holder is somewhere in teh 1400lb range. At peak growing season they can gain close to 25 lbs per day.
They take a good bit of care and knowledge to get them to grow even as big as the one in the picture, but they are definitely awsome. Some of the seeds are almost the size of a quarter. I give them out to friends to see what they can do with them.
would they grow in the uk?

They grow from Cape Cod to Nova Scotia, to my knowledge, so would think that they would grow in the uk...

The UK would be great. They take a good bit of moisture and somewhat cooler temps. Here in Ohio I actually have to shade them in the hot summer months so the skins don't prematurely harden and inhibit growth.
