Barn Photos

Seems like a smudge or something got on the pic on the barn. Scanned in on flatbed, think something was on the pic itself. I've taken tons of barn photos lately and was wondering if it would be a worthwhile project?

the pic looks a bit noisy if you ask me. (Unless thats the smudge) Also the big yellow sign is a little bit of a distraction to the main focus. Maybe trying it from a different angle?

I think you're right Kara.

Can you reshoot this one Kix? A different angle and a clearer picture would definitely give you something to work with, the building and the fence are quite photogenic!!

Cheers,
Cathie

No, can't really reshoot this one. It was a totally misty day and all I had on me was a point and shoot. While on vacation across country. Hmm...the sign. Maybe if it was shot at a wider angle the sign would add character. I love what the mailboxes do for the photo though. Thanks for the comments, etc.

Yeah, I find the sign a little distracting as well (but I think you're right about the mailboxes). As far as a worthwhile project... if it pleases you, as the photographer, any project is a worthwhile project... sometimes, some of the most mundane-sounding collection of pictures can really be quite interesting, if the photographer has some imagination and a good eye.

Welcome to PhotographyCorner, btw, kixphotography!

Because this picture has noise, this place looks like a place where serial homicides takes places. Is it just me who thinks that?

I think Tim might be onto something. Last summer I had a 'thing' with bird houses... it didnt really go anywhere, and no one really liked em but myself, but a lot of the time it comes down to personal choice, so if thats what is interesting to you, more power to ya
