Ouch...bad setup, Simon Fraser University Downtown...

This was a bad setup shot...to begin with. I was coming back to Vancouver (after moving from New West to Vancouver) and caught the glint of a greenish awning off the Simon Fraser Downtown Campus building and figured, why not put the "night-time" shot capability of my Coolpix 2200 to use.

Well, I went to the corner of Granville and Pender and aimed the camera up and took the shot, just as the #22 (my bus I have to catch arrived)...Sure enough, when I got on the bus and reviewed my picture...ONE BIG SODIUM Streetlamp...creating a nasty LENS Flare...

But, well, here it is anyways...and I figure I'd really like to get some views on how this could have been made a lot better...

Ahhh,...what a wonderful lesson you learned 'bout night shots. Bet you'll remember that the next time, huh? That's what makes them special,...eh? Thanks for sharing this valuable lesson with us all..........
