In Bloom

Took this picture for my girlfriend because this is her favorite flower, I want to blow this picture up for her and frame it so she can see her favorite flower everyday without having them die lol.
Let me know what you think

I like the sentiment behind the shot and I think that you composed this shot well and captured some beautiful color in it. I think it would make for a good framed image.

I think this is a beautiful shot (though I do abhor that you posted such a large image!). The colors are brilliant, the composition works, the subject-matter in interesting. Compliment the comp. as I have, I do think the image could stand to have a bit more cut off at the right, and a bit less at the left. Great work, overall, though.

I love shots with a just one flower (one subject)... I always try to have extra space in the image pointing in the direction the subject is facing or appears to be looking. This way the eye naturally flows through the image.

Awww...how sweet! The only thing that bothers me slightly is that the tip of the petal on the left got cut off, but other than that I think it looks great!

Gotta go with the majority here and agree that small move to the right would make this pic. The actual colour of the flower is great.

An 8 X 10 crop should work fine. You need to do a little post processing to remove excess pollen. I think the 3 pedals which are cut off should be edited out, and maybe even the other ones should be cloned out. A good trial for your editing skills. Its a good shot worth an 8 x 10 in portrait view. keep shooting.
